The standard battery was fine when the iPod Classic was first released. Still, as battery technology has improved and new after-market options are available, we can now offer a replacement 2000mAh battery pack. This iPod Classic extended battery pack is well suited to our iPod SSD flash upgrade service, giving approximately 100 hours of continuous play with an SSD upgrade.
The higher capacity battery upgrade is only suitable when upgrading your iPod classic to SSD flash storage. The higher-capacity battery fits perfectly in place of the smaller standard battery and retains the use of your original rear housing.
